Goldenrod Tincture Solidago virgaurea
Goldenrod
Botanical Name: Solidago virgaurea
Goldenrod, often seen in August and September, is usually associated with allergies and hay fever, however
what many people don't realize is that it's often mistaken for Ragweed, and Goldenrod actually helps to reduce symptoms of hay fever, including those stimulated from Ragweed. Goldenrod helps reduce fever, nasal issues/sinusitis, is an antimicrobial, regulates kidney function, is a diuretic, and is a urinary antiseptic, making it particularly useful for UTI's and other similar issues. Goldenrod can help reduce symptoms of colds and flus, soothe the throat, and clear upper respiratory tract catarrh or inflammation, especially when chronic.
Note: although goldenrod is often mistaken for ragweed, there are people who may have a reaction to goldenrod if they have a strong aversion to the Asteraceae plant family.
Suggested Use:
Shake well. Take 1-3 mL (dropperfuls), 2-3 times a day, or as needed.
Those who are sensitive to the taste of herbal extracts, I recommend adding the dosage to a tablespoon or so of water or juice.
