Lemon Balm

Botanical Name: Melissa officinalis



Lemon Balm is used as an anti-anxiety, a mild sedative, and to relieve feelings of melancholy. Lemon Balm is also a carminative and an antispasmodic, helping to reduce muscle tension and cramping (+helping to reduce PMS symptoms at that). This herb also is a diaphoretic. Lemon Balm is specifically indicated for feelings of irritability, nervous sleep disorders/disturbances, and overactive glands. 



Lemon Balm is useful in shortening and relieving the common cold and flu-like symptoms, and may help to reduce fevers through a diaphoretic action Lemon balm also helps reduce nerve pain.



Suggested Use:

Shake well. Take 1-3 mL (dropperfuls), 2-3 times a day, or as needed.

Those who are sensitive to the taste of herbal extracts, I recommend adding the dosage to a tablespoon or so of water or juice.
