Echinacea Tincture
Echinacea
Botanical Name: Echinacea purpurea
Echinacea is commonly used for colds and flus to shorten the duration, but that's not all it's good for! anti-inflammatory, lymphatic, and can help to break fevers. Echinacea is considered to be both an immunomodulator as well as an immune stimulant. For those who suffer from chronic auto//immune issues, immune stimulants sometimes are difficult on the body, however, as Echinacea is also an immunomodulator, it helps to actually balance out the immune system, bringing it to homeostasis vs. overshooting the immune system. Echinacea can help with toothaches, and was used for snakebites in the past. Echinacea supports the healing of wounds, helps with tonsillitis/sore throats, and can help with the healing of skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
Suggested Use:
Shake well. Take 2-4 mL (dropperfuls), 2-3 times a day acutely, or 1-3 mL 2-3 a day for general immune support.
Those who are sensitive to the taste of herbal extracts, I recommend adding the dosage to a tablespoon or so of water or juice.
