Lavender Tincture Lavandula angustifolia
Lavender
Botanical Name: Lavandula angustifolia
Lavender, known for its use with soothing anxiety and depression in its essential oil form, is also just as lovely and effective as a tincture. As expected it helps with the above, but it also helps with cognitive function, known as a nootropic. Lavender is antispasmodic, useful for releasing muscle spasms, including uterine cramps. It's a carminative helping to relieve gas and bloating after eating something heavy or for colic, and is an antiseptic, wound healer, sedative, and anti-inflammatory. Lavender is great for reducing restlessness and insomnia, releasing headaches, migraines and neuralgic or rheumatic pain.
Suggested Use:
Shake well. Take 1-2 mL (dropperfuls), 2-3 times a day, or as needed.
Those who are sensitive to the taste of herbal extracts, I recommend adding the dosage to a tablespoon or so of water or juice.
