Hawthorn

Botanical Name: Crataegeus

Hawthorn is most well known for it's cardiovascular support. It's also a mild diuretic, strong antioxidant, mild astringent, and collagen stabilizing. Hawthorn increases circulation, is a hypotensive, cardio tonic, helps reduce blood vessel swelling, reduce blood clotting issues, and stabilize the heart. Beyond physical heart health, Hawthorn is also an amazing and lovely herb for emotional and spiritual heart healing. A broken heart can result in physical cardiovascular issues, anxiety, and depression. Hawthorn can help you move through that.

Hawthorn is a wonderful and powerful herb, though it's best used over a long period of time, chronically, rather than acutely. Although, when approaching it from an emotional stance, both acute and long term usage will work.

Suggested Use:

Shake well. Take 3-5 mL (dropperfuls), 2-3 times a day, or as needed.

Those who are sensitive to the taste of herbal extracts, I recommend adding the dosage to a tablespoon or so of water or juice.
