Botanical Name: Piscidia erythrina
Jamaican Dogwood is used as an antispasmodic for muscle and uterine cramps, as a pain reliever, anad mild sedative, helping to reduce anxiety as well. Jamaican Dogwood also helps with nerve pain issues such as toothaches, neuralgia, sciatica, and headaches, as well as rheumatoid arthritis pain.
I use Jamaican Dogwood as one of the herbs in my tincture for cramp relief as it not only helps to reduce the uterine cramping/spasms, but it's mild sedative/anti anxiety effect helps to reduce irritability and PMS symptoms.
Suggested Use:
Shake well. Take 2-3 mL (dropperfuls), 2-3 times a day, or as needed.
Those who are sensitive to the taste of herbal extracts, I recommend adding the dosage to a tablespoon or so of water or juice.
